Tickets $15

There is a $2 per ticket service fee for tickets purchased online or over the phone. To avoid this fee, visit us during box office hours at 7300 MacArthur Blvd, Glen Echo, MD 20812. Purchasing your tickets in advance is recommended.

Discounts:
We offer significant discounts to our Season Subscribers. For more information about our season subscriptions, click here.

Groups:
Groups of 10 or more receive discounted tickets. Contact the box office for more information regarding our group discounts. A group discount will automatically be applied when you add 10 or more tickets to your shopping cart when purchasing tickets online.

Policies:
Thank you for your interest in an upcoming Adventure Theatre show! In an ongoing effort to ensure the safety, security and convenience of Adventure Theatre’s patrons, performance artists and parents, we ask you take a moment to review our ticketing and performance policies.

1) Doors open for performances 10 minutes before the show begins. Seating is general admission, so please arrive early or on time to ensure your best view of the stage. If you are bringing a group of five or more to the theatre, please arrive early so that the House Management Staff can do their best to seat your group together. Please note that Adventure Theatre booked birthday parties have reserved seating in the center section of the theatre.

2) The operation of cameras, video equipment, phones and other recording devices is strictly prohibited at Adventure Theatre during all performances.

3) Latecomers will be seated during appropriate pauses in the performance as a courtesy to other audience members and to ensure the safety of our performers. We do not repeat announcements or birthday party greetings to those who arrive late.

4) Children under the age of 1 are admitted free of charge, but must sit in a family member’s lap. Strollers and car seats are not permitted in the theatre.

5) All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to enter the theatre.

6) Adventure Theatre does not permit food or beverage inside the theatre, even for our Pajama Parties or Special Events. All food must be confined to the lobby or in our party rooms.

7) Tickets may be exchanged for another performance of the same title up to 24 hours prior to the performance you are scheduled to attend. Adventure Theatre does not offer credits for missed performances. Please visit our Contact Us page for Box Office hours. All exchanges are subject to availability. There are no refunds.

8) If performances are canceled due to inclement weather, Adventure Theatre will exchange your tickets for another performance date.

9) During our ASL Interpreted performances and our Sensory/Autism Friendly performances, we allow patrons to express themselves aloud. During all other performances, please be courteous to others. If your children become upset, please exit the theatre quietly into our lobby until they can calmly reenter. If you feel as though your children are too upset to finish watching the performance and you choose to leave early, our refund policy still applies.

Directions to Adventure Theatre

From the Beltway (495):
Take the River Road Exit toward DC.
At the 5th light take a right onto Goldsboro Rd.
Goldsboro dead ends into MacArthur Blvd. at a small traffic circle. Take a right onto MacArthur Blvd. Take a left at the first street which is Oxford Road. Follow signs to the parking lot for Glen Echo Park and Clara Barton National Historic Site.

From the parking lot:
With small children, please allow 10 minutes to walk through the park to the theatre. Go over the wooden foot bridge that leads into the park. Follow the path up to the Carousel. Adventure Theatre is to the left of the Carousel under the red towers.

From Washington DC:
Take Massachusetts Avenue until it dead ends at Goldsboro Road. Take a left onto Goldsboro Road. Goldsboro dead ends into MacArthur Blvd. at a small traffic circle. Take a right onto MacArthur Blvd. Take a left at the first street which is Oxford Road. Follow signs to the parking lot for Glen Echo Park and Clara Barton National Historic Site.

From the parking lot:
With small children, please allow 10 minutes to walk through the park to the theatre. Go over the wooden foot bridge that leads into the park. Follow the path up to the Carousel. Adventure Theatre is to the left of the Carousel under the red towers.

From the Metro
Take the Red Line to the Friendship Heights stop. Take the 29 Ride-On Bus to the Glen Echo Park stop. Walk into the park. Adventure Theatre is to the left of the Carousel under the red towers.

Parking - it's free!

Main Parking Lot:
The main parking lot is located off MacArthur Blvd on Oxford Road. With small children, please allow 10 minutes to walk through the park to the theatre. Go over the wooden foot bridge that leads into the park. Follow the path up to the Carousel. Adventure Theatre is to the left of the Carousel under the red towers.

Handicapped Parking:
Handicapped parking spaces are available for those with proper tags. From the main parking lot, take a right on MacArthur Blvd. After the traffic circle, take a right into the permit only parking lot. Drive through the gravel lot. Spaces are located just past the trolley car.

The Dentzel Carousel

The historic Glen Echo Park Dentzel Carousel is in its 89th year. Celebrate with us by taking a ride on the hand woodcarved animals from 1920's.

Inclement Weather Policy

If Glen Echo Park is closed due to Inclement Weather, daytime performances will be cancelled. For park closing information, call the Park Closing Hotline 301-320-2330. The hotline is updated at 7 am for daytime activities and 3pm for all evening activities. You may also call 301-634-2222 and press 9 for closing and cancellations. First course of action Tickets will be rescheduled if and only if you are unavailable to reschedule for any other Adventure Theatre performance a refund will be issued less any service fees.

Adventure Theatre follows Montgomery County Public School Inclement Weather Closing Status. If Montgomery County Public Schools are closed, all daytime performances will be cancelled. For all evening performances please call the 24 hour Park Closing Hotline 301-320-2330 to learn the status of events. The hotline is updated at 3pm for all evening activities. In the event of cancellations due to inclement weather the Box Office Manager will attempt to reschedule tickets. Refunds will be given only if tickets cannot be moved to another Adventure Theatre performance of the same show or another of our upcoming shows. Check the MCPS webpage, Comcast cable channel 34, Verizon FiOS channel 36, RCN cable channel 89, or call the weather line, 301-279-3673.
